Dayle Goertzen is a Canadian jewellery designer from Winnipeg, Manitoba with a real passion for anything vintage. She would tell you that she is fascinated thinking about the stories she would hear if these items could talk. This translates naturally to a passion for vintage jewellery. Over the years Dayle has amassed an extensive collection of vintage costume jewellery. A few years ago the desire was sparked to reclaim these beautiful old pieces and transform them into contemporary designs with nostalgic flavour. Many of the components she uses are from jewellery with broken or missing pieces and, rather than discard them, Dayle offers them a new lease on life.
Dayle is proud of Vintage Bling for contributing toward our environmental "green" consciousness. Going beyond that, a portion of the proceeds are donated to enhance the lives of people less fortunate. In 2007 Vintage Bling provided a fish farm, a grove of fruit trees and fresh water well for a community in the Congo, Africa.
Another interesting pursuit is Dayle's efforts in supporting her favourite race car driver, Danny Staff. This hot young man (happens to be her nephew) is a very successful driver in the modified class on the WISSOTA race track circuit. We're not sure yet how this fits with jewellery, but it's fun seeing the Vintage Bling logo on the hood of the car as it travels ridiculous speeds in chase of a checker flag.
Vintage Bling had it's first introduction to Hollywood in 2008 at the Oscar Gifting Suites where it received rave reviews. Most recently Dayle had the opportunity to showcase Vintage Bling at the 2010 Golden Globes Oh Canada gifting suites where her unique line of jewelry was an instant hit and new favorite among celebrities and stylists alike. Vintage Bling is now being worn by Ashley Greene, Neve Campbell, Deirdra Hall and many more. Go to the 'Celebrity' page to find out which celebs can be seen around Hollywood wearing Vintage Bling. Elena Levon is photographed wearing Vintage Bling on the Red Carpet and along side the likes of Quinten Tarantino and Marion Coutilliard (who also owns a Vintage Bling bracelet).
With every one-of-a-kind design that Dayle creates, her greatest joy is knowing that you will experience remarkable pleasure in adding Vintage Bling to your selection of jewellery.
