This February will mark 2 years since I lost my dear Mother, Norma Babcock, to congestive heart failure. We laid her to rest on Valentine's Day, which seemed fitting because she was such a sweetheart. Not a day goes by that I don’t miss her dearly. To honor her memory I am designing the 2nd annual Sweethearts Collection of jewelry to raise money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. This is a line of jewelry with a heart somewhere in the design. You will find the Sweethearts Collection from February 1 – 28 on my website as well as in an album on facebook https://www.facebook.com/vintagebling. I will be adding more pieces throughout the month, so keep checking back. When you purchase an item from this collection, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
No doubt many of you can relate to losing someone you love to heart failure/disease. Together, we can make a difference. Purchase a Valentines gift for yourself or someone you love and support The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
(This fundraising effort is registered with the Manitoba chapter of the Heart and Stroke Foundation.)
This necklace has seen royalty, celebrities and red carpets. It had it's first debut on the Red Carpet for the 2010 Golden Globe Awards when it was worn by Lisa Freitas, photographed here with Leonardo DeCaprio. Then it donned the neck of highly acclaimed Canadian singer, songwriter, and classical pianist Chantal Kreviazuk. As if that's not glamorous enough, Chantal was performing for the Queen of England at the time.
A very regal necklace, it is a single strand of high quality vintage glass pearls, stunningly adorned with sparkling vintage Swarovski rhinestones in the Art Deco design. The owner of this stunning necklace will receive photographs to commemorate the journey of this already famous heirloom piece.
THIS NECKLACE HAS BEEN DONATED TO THE CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY MANITOBA CHAPTER TO BE AUCTIONED ON OCTOBER 16/2010.
